A man holding five swords is sneaking away from a military camp. He is looking back with a complacent look on his face. Two other swords remain stuck in the ground, as if he is trying to hide the fact that something was taken away at all. The man is probably thinking that his theft will go unnoticed.
General Meaning
The number seven points to a challenge. In the Seven of Swords, the peace is challenged by a malicious theft. It generally symbolizes all kinds of situations where something unrightful and secret or deceptive is going on. The card can point to lies, deceit or deception by you or someone in your surroundings. This could be a cheating or lying partner, a false friend or someone dishonest at your workplace. Since the swords can represent something mental, when it comes to a career reading it could mean that an idea is stolen, or someone wants to get the reward for something that they have not done themself. As an advise it can ask you to be careful when you try to deceive someone, since you might get caught or not even be aware that your behaviour is noticed. Lastly, you could be in a situation where you are not true to yourself. You might be sabotaging yourself.
Love Meaning

In a love reading the Seven of Swords can symbolize a partner that is dishonest, lying, cheating or deceiving you in any other way. Your love interest might not be honest about their intentions or trying to manipulate you. Seven of Swords may also symbolize that something is going on behind your back. It can represent infidelity. Since the person in the picture is trying to sneak away without being noticed, it can also mean that someone is trying to 'leave the relationship' without making it obvious. When this card shows up you should be careful.

As Feelings

If you ask how someone feels for you, the Seven of Swords can indicate that the person in question has a bad conscience, because they know they have done something that wasn't right. At the time they might be dishonest with you. Something could be going on behind your back.
